The issues to develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran discussed in Tehran
Dushanbe, 21.10.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On October 17, in the sidelines of the 7th meeting of the Council of the leaders of customs offices and 3rd meeting of customs experts subcommittee of the member states of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) (October 17-19, Tehran), the First Deputy Head of Customs Service of the Republic of Tajikistan Khurshed Karimzoda and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran Nematullo Emomzoda met with the head of Customs of Islamic Republic of Iran Massoud Karbassian, MFA Information Department reports.
“During the meeting the parties have discussed the issues to develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation in the areas of electronic exchange of statistical information, training and exchange of expertise and enabling the growth of economic — trade relations”, — says the ministry’s statement.
According to the source, the parties also aimed to carry out necessary formalities for the signing of the project of “The bilateral agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran on administrative assistance regarding the orders of customs legislation to prevent, investigate and combat customs offenses”.
