Navruz holiday celebrated in Japan
DUSHANBE, 04.04.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On April 1, 2017 at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan on the occasion of the International Navruz oliday festive event was held in camping site of “Yukari no Mori” in the city of Tsukuba with the participation of Tajik citizens residing in Japan. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Embassy of Tajikistan in Japan.
The event was attended by the former Ambassador of Japan to Tajikistan, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Japan International Cooperation Agency, professors of the University of Tokyo and University of Tsukuba, active citizens of Japan — friends of Tajikistan, as well as guests from a neighboring country.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Japan Dr. Hamrokhon ZARIFI sincerely congratulated all attendees on the occasion of this magnificent holiday of Navruz, stressed that Navruz in Tajikistan with state independence, revived with its magnificence and attractiveness, and began to be celebrated as the one of the most ancient national holidays. The values and historical significances of Navruz — a holiday of prosperity, humanity and spirit of creation was also noted.
The Ambassador also noted that initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, was supported by the member countries of the United Nations, a special Resolution was adopted to give Navruz holiday international status. In this regard, already 7 years Navruz is celebrated as an international holiday in among people of Navruz Civilization Basin.
During the event special festive corner of various Navruz traditions symbols, books, craftmanship products such as chakanduzi and kundal were exhibited.
In addition to tabletop of “Haft sin” and “Haft shin” were displayed and offered various types of national cuisine. International Navruz celebration followed by Tajik music and national dances performed by Japanese artists, that captured attention of the participants.
