13 killed in Turkish military helicopter crash
DUSHANBE, 01.06.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. A total of 13 military personnel were killed in a military helicopter crash in Sirnak Province late Wednesday, Xinhua news agency reports citing Turkish Armed Forces.
According to the statement, an AS 532 Cougar-type helicopter carrying 13 personnel took off from a military command in Senoba, Sirnak. Shortly afterward, the helicopter hit a high voltage line and crashed at 20:55 local time (1855 GMT).
Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Isik headed to Sirnak following the accident.
The accident happened in Senoba district near the Turkey-Iraq border, according to local media.
The investigation teams have been dispatched to the accident area.
