Henceforth President will determine the salaries of the Chairmen of Parliament’s Houses
DUSHANBE, 13.07.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Henceforth, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan will determine the salary of the Chairman of Majlisi milli and Chairman of Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
As NIAT “Khovar” correspondent reports, on July 12, in the eleventh session of Majlisi milli, the members of the Upper House of Parliament have supported the introduction of additions to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On legal status of member of Majlisi milli and deputy of Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan”.
It should be noted that Majlisi milli is the Upper House and Majlisi namoyandagon — Lower House of the Parliament of Tajikistan, and were established in 2000. Majlisi milli has 33 members and Majlisi namoyandagon consists of 63 deputies, who are elected for a period of 5 years.
