Celebration of Tajikistan Independence Day in Cairo
DUSHANBE, 12.09.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Tajik Embassy in Cairo hosted a diplomatic reception on 10 September 2017 in one of the hotels overlooking river Nile on the occasion of the 26th Anniversary since the Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the MFA Information Department, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Arab Republic of Egypt Elsayed El Sharif, Assistant Foreign Minister of Egypt Yasser Murad, senior officials from various ministries and government agencies of Egypt, foreign ambassadors and diplomats accredited in Cairo, representatives of mass media and business community of Egypt, as well as the Tajik fellow citizens and students attended the reception.
In his welcoming speech Ambassador of Tajikistan to Egypt Khusrav Noziri noting the achievements of our country over the past 26 years stressed the crucial importance of Independence Day in the formation of the new Tajik statehood and its further development along the path of peace, progress and prosperity.
Guest of the event had an opportunity to appreciate the collection of paintings by the renowned Tajik artist Farrukh Negmatzade, as well as samples of Tajik suzani and other traditional ornaments.
