Tajikistan attended the JATA Tourism EXPO Japan-2017
DUSHANBE, 28.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On September 21-24, 2017, the largest international tourism fair JATA Tourism EXPO Japan-2017 was held in the capital of Japan — Tokyo in the International Exhibition Center «Tokyo Big Sight».
According to the MFA Information Department, the national tourist company Mountain Adventure Travel Tajikistan represented Tajikistan at the exhibition.
Participants and visitors of the exhibition got acquainted with the tourism potential of Tajikistan. Maps, booklets, various information brochures, tourist products in the Japanese language clearly showed the diversity and uniqueness of Tajikistan’s natural landscapes, cultural and historical monuments, traditional national cuisine, unique oriental features, warm hospitality and modern infrastructure of the country.
During the exhibition, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan together with the Japanese tour operator «All Season Travel» held a seminar on the broad tourism opportunities in Tajikistan. Representatives of major tour companies of Japan attended the seminar.
Also within the exhibition, meetings with representatives of various travel agencies of Japan took place.
JATA Tourism EXPO Japan is the largest exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region and one of the large-scale and significant exhibitions in the world. According to the organizers in 2016 the exhibition attracted representatives from more than 128 countries and regions, and more than 1790 exhibitors participated. More than 270 thousand people visited JATA-2016.
The representation of the tourism potential of Tajikistan at the «JATA Tourism EXPO Japan» will have a positive impact on the development of the outbound tourist flow from Japan to Tajikistan.
