The team of Tajik Embassy won the MGIMO Rector’s Cup on mini-football
DUSHANBE, 05.06.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The XVIII mini-football tournament for the Rector’s Cup of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) devoted to the Day of Russia was held on June 3. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation.
The team of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Russia, consisting of a number of its employees and representatives of public organizations of the Tajik diasporas, having defeated the “Snegiri” team with a score of 2:1 in the final, became the winner of the tournament.
The team of Tajik Embassy took the first place among 26 teams of diplomatic missions of foreign countries accredited in the Russian Federation, teams of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, MGIMO teachers and staff, as well as the team of the tournament sponsor – “Snegiri”.
The tournament was held at the MGIMO Sports Complex stadium and opened with a parade of participants. All teams under the march of the military band marched with their national flags in front of the rostrum of honored guests and fans.
At the tournament solemn closing ceremony the team of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation was awarded the Cup, and players received medals and diplomas.
Thus, the team of Tajik Embassy in the Russian Federation became the six-time holder of the MGIMO Rector’s Cup.
