Tajikistan secondary school students win fifteen medals BIMC 2018
DUSHANBE, 09.07.2018. /NIAT «Khovar»/. The Tajik secondary school students who took part International Mathematics Competition dubbed as Bulgaria International Mathematics Competition (BIMC) 2018 brought home their awards from it, reports Ministry of Education and Science.
Tajikistan was represented by 24 school students at the Olympiad held in Burgas, Bulgaria. They won two gold medals, six silver medals and seven bronze medals.
The national flag of Tajikistan was raised by winners. Almost 612 schoolchildren from 35 different countries took part for the victory. The tournament has completed on June 6.
According to the BIMC 2018 official website, the competitors from China, Bulgaria, Taiwan, Thailand, Tajikistan, Vietnam and the Philippines won the most honors at the BIMC 2018 International Mathematics Competition. Besides golden, silver and bronze medals, representatives of these countries also won team champion’s awards.
The prizes were reportedly awarded to the best competitors in both individual and team competitions in the different age groups. 612 school students from 30 countries participated in the competition – 167 teams in total, including 19 from Bulgaria.
Competition is created in 2003, annually is held in a different countries.On eof its aims is to create a woldwide platform for pupils for exchange of knowledge and practical experience in the mathematics field.
