Women’s national football team of Tajikistan left for Indonesia to attend the 2018 Summer Asian Games
DUSHANBE, 14.08.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The delegation of the women’s national football team of Tajikistan yesterday, August 13 on a transit flight through Dubai left for Indonesia to take part in the football tournament of the 2018 Summer Asian Games to be held on August 16-31. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press service of the Football Federation of Tajikistan.
The women’s national team of Tajikistan included 18 players — 3 goalkeepers, 6 defenders, 6 midfielders and 3 forwards.
Tajik team will play in Group B against DPRK (August 17), China (August 20) and Hong Kong (August 22).
All matches of the women’s football tournament of the 2018 Summer Asian Games will be held in the Indonesian city of Palembang.
The women’s tournament of the 2018 Summer Asian Games will be attended by 11 teams, which were divided into three groups:
Group A — Indonesia, South Korea, Chinese Taipei and the Maldives.
Group B – Tajikistan, DPRK, China and Hong Kong.
Group C — Japan, Vietnam and Thailand.
Following the result of the group round, the top three teams from groups A and B, as well as the two best teams from group C, will reach the quarterfinals and continue to fight for medals.
