A Cold Week Ahead for Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 25.01.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Low temperatures are expected on January 25 through the weekend in most parts of the country.
Ice is expected to remain on the highways, reports the Tajik Hydrometeorology Agency.
Nighttime temperatures may drop anywhere from 15 to 20 degrees below zero in mountainous areas. It will be 20-25 degrees below zero in western areas of GBAO and -31-36 degrees below zero in eastern GBAO. The Bulunkul area will experience temperatures up to 50 degrees below zero.
Daytime temperature is expected to drop 5-10 degrees below zero in most mountainous areas and 13–18 degrees below zero in eastern GBAO.
