President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon Meets the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Hadi Soleimanpour
DUSHANBE, 21.08.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 21 in Guliston, Sughd Province, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Hadi Soleimanpour.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and ECO.
President Rahmon noted his satisfaction with the current level of cooperation in the areas of trade, transit and transportation, as well as the level of cultural and humanitarian ties.
He emphasized that Tajikistan is interested in further developing cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, energy, transportation, communication,industry, agriculture, environmental protection and tourism with the ECO member nations.
The parties also discussed issues related to the development of regional tourism, the establishment of peace and stability in neighboring Afghanistan, as well as in its socio-economic development.
