Emomali Rahmon sends condolences to Macron on death of former French President Jacques Chirac
DUSHANBE, 26.09.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a condolence message to the President of French Republic Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron.
The message reads in part:
“Excellency,
We are deeply saddened by the news of former French President Jacques Rene Chirac’s death.
While in high office as President of the French Republic for many years Mr. Jacques Rene Chirac as an outstanding politician and statesman has gained great authority and recognition in the international arena.
Appreciating Mr. Chirac’s contribution to the development and expansion of the Tajik-French relations and the multifaceted cooperation, Tajikistani side express our sincere respect for his person.
I ask you to convey our deep feelings of empathy and condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased, as well as to the friendly people of France. ”
