DUSHANBE, 01.10.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon sent a message of congratulations to the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.

The message reads, in part:

“Dear Mr. President,

I have the honor to convey my best wishes on behalf of the government and people of Tajikistan and on my own behalf.  I cordially congratulate you Your Excellency and through you the friendly people of China who are commemorating a significant historical anniversary, — the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The People’s Republic of China attained tremendous progress in various fields, including political, socio-economic and scientific-technical over the past 70 years and increased the country’s high prestige on the international stage.

These grandiose achievements, of course, are the result of hard work of the entire people of China and their political leadership.

We rejoice in the successes of our great, kind and reliable neighbor, and we believe that they serve as a solid foundation for the further dynamic development of our interstate cooperation in all areas.

The Tajik side is interested in strengthening and expanding the traditions of close friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with the People’s Republic of China.

I am convinced that the consistent implementation of the reached agreements during negotiations and summits reached during your state visit to Tajikistan will give a new impetus to this fruitful process, raising the relations of the two countries to new heights in accordance with the fundamental interests of the parties.

I sincerely congratulate you on the glorious holiday — the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and wish you, dear friend, good health and new success in your state activities, and to the friendly people of China — unshakable peace and sustainable progress.»
