PM Rasulzoda Holds Meeting on Water Related International Conference
DUSHANBE, 27.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda held a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028.»
The meeting focused on the progress of the preparatory measures for the conference, as well as issues relating to the Tajik chairmanship in the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea for 2020-2022.
Over the past two decades, Tajikistan has managed to draw the attention of the world community to issues relating to water and ecology, along by organizing and conducting a number of high regional and world level events.
The organizing committee’s members, heads of ministries, departments and other relevant responsible persons have undertaken the necessary steps to organize the first and now the second high level conference.
On November 29, 2019, President Emomali Rahmon was elected as the Chairman of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea by the heads of Central Asian states.
