CIS Observer Mission Notes High Level of Preparation for Elections in Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 02.03.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, at a briefing, the head of the CIS Observer Mission Sergey Lebedev noted the high level of preparation at all levels, starting from the Tajik Central Commission for Elections and Referenda, district and precinct commissions.
CIS Observers paid special attention to the organized nature of the election campaign and the voting process.
The elections in Tajikistan were held in an atmosphere of friendship and tranquility.
CIS Observer Mission members visited 31 polling stations from a total of 41.
Over 230 international observers from the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, CIS Executive Committee, Belarus and the diplomatic corps accredited in Tajikistan were registered to observe the elections to the Assembly of Representatives.
