Coronavirus Confirmed Cases Worldwide Exceed 700,000
DUSHANBE, 30.03.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The number of coronavirus cases worldwide reached 723,700 today, according to data compiled by the Worldometer.
The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 199 countries and territories around the world and 2 international conveyances: the Diamond Princess cruise ship harbored in Yokohama, Japan, and the Holland America’s MS Zaandam cruise ship, with 33,993 deaths worldwide.
A total of 151,801 people diagnosed with the virus have so far recovered globally.
Italy, Spain, China and Iran continue to be the most affected countries in terms of deaths, but the U.S. tops the list of the highest number of confirmed cases — 142,735.
Italy recorded the most deaths with 10,779 fatalities with 97,689 cases, while Spain reported 6,803 deaths and 80,110 confirmed cases. China followed Spain with 3,304 deaths and 81,470 cases.
Meanwhile, the death toll in Iran reached 2,640 and the total number of cases reached 38,309 in the country.
