Director Zokirov’s Film Awarded a Diploma at the International Muslim Film Festival in Kazan

DUSHANBE, 11.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The feature comedy film Bus, filmed at the Tajikfilm, received a First Degree Diploma at the 16th International Muslim Film Festival Russia and the Islamic World in Kazan.
According to the film’s author and director Abdulkhay Zokirov, more than 600 films were presented at the International Muslim Film Festival in Kazan, 60 of which were selected to participate in it.
The festival was held online, and films were selected for almost two months. The film Bus received the award.
Bus was filmed in 2019 as an adventure comedy. The action takes place on the bus and on the street. According to the director, the shooting of the 80-minute film took almost a month.
The film features actors Mavlona Najmiddinova, Zarina Khushvakht, Abdulmumin Sharipov, Nasriddin Nuriddinov, as well as theater artists from Khatlon and Sughd regions.
The International Muslim Film Festival has been held in Kazan since 2005.
The festival topics are universal human spiritual and moral values, family values, cultural traditions, peacebuilding ideas, religious tolerance and humanism. The program includes films by Russian and foreign directors.
