DUSHANBE, 24.11.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Today the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has congratulated the people of Tajikistan with the National Flag Day.

“I wish that the flag of our independent state will forever fly in the sky of our beloved Tajikistan. The national flag represents the Tajiks in the international arena and is our source of pride as a full–fledged member of the world community,” said President Rahmon.

“History is the witness that testifies that this national symbol as a factor of patriotic honor has repeatedly united our people and saved them from the abyss of destruction. After gaining independence at a very difficult and critical period in the life of our people, using the experience of our honorable ancestors, we chose and adopted the flag of our state, which mobilizes our people for peace and national unity,» he noted.

“The national flag is a source of pride, especially for the youth of Tajikistan, and they are united under this state symbol and vigilantly and wisely take worthy patriotic measures and undertakings, including the defense of the beloved sacred homeland,» he said.

«It is a matter of pride that today the National Flag of Tajikistan is hoisted around the world and is a symbol of the peace-loving, creative-minded Tajik people, and our country, which is successfully participating in solving global problems. It is a filial and civic responsibility of each of us to pay tribute to the National Flag — a symbol of independence and freedom, unity and solidarity, patriotism and national identity,” he concluded.
