Emomali Rahmon Presides Over Government Meeting

DUSHANBE, 27.11.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presided over a session of the government.
The main subject on the meeting’s agenda was the implementation of a government decree dating October 30, 2010 about the national program of forming of healthy lifestyle for 2011 — 2020. The Minister of Healthcare and Social Protections of the Population Jamiliddin Abdullozoda delivered a report on this matter.
Abdullozoda noting that as a result of the implementation of the program many important and effective measures have been taken among the population, and significant progress has been made in the country’s healthcare system.
President Rahmon instructed relevant ministries and government agencies regarding developing yet another draft for the next five years.
Government members also discussed the bills which have been submitted to the Assembly of Representatives for consideration, including the draft laws “On Compulsory Military Responsibilities and Military Service,” “On Administrative Offences Code,” “On Scientific Activities and the State scientific and Technical Policy,” “On preschool training and education”, “On making changes to the laws “On education of adults”, “On additional education” and “On making changes and additions to the laws On secondary vocational education”, “On making changes to the law On Primary vocational education” as well as “On making changes and additions to the laws On the higher and postgraduate professional education”, “On making changes to the law On scientific and scientific and technical examination” and “On the Code of health care of the Republic of Tajikistan”.
Other issues discussed include the draft of Investment Partnership Agreements, the National Strategy for Humanitarian Mine Action for 2021-2030, as well as the National Language Development Program for 2020-2030, and the Medium-Term Plan for Organizing Relocations of Environmental Migrations for 2021-2023.
President Rmomali Rahmon reminded the officials that in connection with the outbreak of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic the Republican COVID-19 Prevention Commission has issued a prohibition against holding of all celebrations, including the organization of a New Year’s tree, conducting cultural, festive and other public events on the occasion of the New Year 2021.
He also called for the timely fulfillment of the set tasks and instructed government members to ensure that the population is able to access uninterrupted heating during the winter period.
