The UN GA mentions that in the resolution 71/14 it took note of the desire of the SCO member states to promote stability and the maintenance of international peace and security. The document also praises the efforts of the SCO member states to strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
The well-established constructive cooperation between the SCO RATS and the UN Counter-Terrorism Office, including with the UN Counter-Terrorism Center in order to implement the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, was also emphasized.
