SCO Railway Administrations Hold Meeting

DUSHANBE, 19.08.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the meeting of the heads of SCO railway administrations was held under the chairmanship of the head of the Tajik Railway Komil Mirzoali via videoconference.
The meeting was attended by heads and representatives of the railway administrations of Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, as well as the SCO Secretariat.
It focused on the implementation of decisions of the second meeting of the heads of SCO railway administrations.
The parties also exchanged views on the implementation of the Concept of Cooperation of the SCO Railway Administration and the work plan of the Meeting of the Heads of the SCO Railway Administrations for 2020-2022.
The parties also agreed on the need to take joint measures to develop the integration of railway infrastructure, the development of proposals for the integration of policies and strategies for infrastructure development plans, plans for the development of technical innovations in railway transport, and joint research work.
