President of Tajikistan Will Attend CIS Heads of State Council Meeting

DUSHANBE, 15.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will take part in the anniversary meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) via videoconference, reports the President’s Press Service.
The meeting will be chaired by Belarus and will focus on interaction within the CIS.
Following the meeting, they plan to adopt a number of statements by the heads of the CIS states, in particular on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the CIS, on cooperation in ensuring biological security, cooperation in the field of migration, protecting the electoral rights of citizens of the CIS, as well as documents aimed at developing cooperation in other areas.
Yesterday in Minsk, a delegation of Tajikistan led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sodik Imomi took part in a meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council (CIS CFM).
