DUSHANBE, 27.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited Khatlon Province in order to get acquainted with the living conditions of the population and attend the opening of various socio-economic facilities.

His visit began with the opening ceremony of the three-story perinatal center built within the framework of Maternal and Child Health Integrated Care Project by Government of Tajikistan in cooperation with development partners which will employ more than 45 doctors and medical personnel.

This was followed by an opening ceremony of a new three-story non-state educational institution Private Innovative School built to accommodate 480 students, with classes taught in Tajik, Russian and English, and the opening ceremony of secondary educational institution No: 16, built to accommodate 640 students in two shifts. The school was built with the support of Sinohydro Tajikistan Chinese Company, and cost more than 10 million somoni.

A three story school comprises 32 well-furnished classrooms that are equipped with all the latest teaching aids.

President Rahmon also attended the opening ceremony of the Akobir furniture factory, which focuses on tables and chairs for schools, hotels, and other enterprises with the annual capacity of 15,000 boards, including chipboards, MDF, and fiberboards.

In the industrial zone of Bactria, he also took part in the opening of the furniture production enterprise, and the Barakati Istiqlol cold storage with a capacity of storing 1,500 tonnes of fruits and vegetables and 100 tonnes of meat.

While inspecting the dental treatment center, President Rahmon also attended the opening of the Khatlon Medical Centre equipped with the state of the art medical devices, and the Department of the State Committee for National Security in Vakhsh.
