DUSHANBE, 13.12.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 10, Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda chaired the meeting of the Republican COVID-19 Prevention Commission.
The meeting focused on the current situation in Tajikistan, the region, and the world, strengthening vaccination measures, improving the level of medical care, and the interaction between commission members.
Rasulzoda emphasized that since the beginning of the outbreak of this infectious disease, the government has taken urgent measures, and cooperation has been established with different countries, as well as international and regional organizations.
“According to international experts, Tajikistan is one of the countries that has made significant progress in the fight against COVID-19, and the main reason is that the Tajik people followed scientific advice,” he added.
Countries that did not pay attention to science and did not follow recommendations of scientists in this area faced problems.
The commission draws the attention of citizens to the fact that COVID-19 continues to spread rapidly and its variant omicron is also easily transmittable.
Every resident is required to get vaccinated, follow the recommendations of specialists, and use masks in public places.
