Second High-Level International Water Conference Begins in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 07.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Second High-Level International Conference dedicated to the International Decade for Action «Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028» on the topic «Promoting action and partnerships in the field of water resources at the local, national, regional, and global levels» began in Dushanbe.
More than 2,000 high-ranking officials, politicians, scientists, experts, representatives of the government, UN and its agencies, international and regional organizations, financial institutions, academic institutions, civil society, including women, and youth are registered to participate, including online.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon is expected to take part and speak at the opening ceremony of the conference.
More than 500 representatives of local and foreign media will be covering the conference.
