President Emomali Rahmon Holds Phone Talk with Russian President Vladimir Putin

DUSHANBE, 23.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
In the context of continuing their regular dialogue, the two leaders discussed certain aspects of Tajik – Russian friendly relations and interstate cooperation and paid particular attention to the prospect for future development within the strategic partnership.
They also exchanged opinions on topical international problems and some issues of regional cooperation, including ensuring regional security with an emphasis on the situation in Afghanistan.
They also discussed the issues of the upcoming multilateral agenda.
At the end of the meeting, the counterparts agreed to continue contacts on these issues and noted the importance of further building multifaceted cooperation.
