On December 19, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met in Tokyo with the Deputy Chairman of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, former Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Taro Aso.
The meeting discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and the role of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue in the development and expansion of relations between Tajikistan and Japan.
The President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, called the contribution of Taro Aso to the development of relations between Tajikistan and Japan significant.
The contribution of the Japanese Government in the implementation of infrastructure projects, water supply, healthcare, strengthening energy capacities, and personnel training was highly appreciated.
A fruitful discussion was held during the meeting on other topics of interest.
