DUSHANBE, 11.10.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan and Belarus need to advance their joint production of various types of equipment and vehicles, said the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Belarus Mahmadsharif Haqdod, reported BelTa News Agency.
«We cooperate in all areas. A wide range of issues will be discussed in terms of economic cooperation within the framework of the visit [of the Belarusian President to Tajikistan],» he noted.
“We need to advance industrial cooperation and expand the product line-up. Not only for farm machines. We can assemble utilities and other vehicles. The prospects are very great,” he added.
“Of course, we need to tap markets of third countries. We have that experience. We supplied tractors assembled here to Afghanistan and to other neighboring countries,» he continued.
The manufacture of Belarusian dairy products will soon be launched in Tajikistan. Plans are in place to open a joint venture for meat processing, said the head of the Tajikistan diplomatic mission.
Belarus and Tajikistan are set to sign a roadmap for the development of cooperation until 2026. According to the diplomat, it covers not only economic cooperation, but also ties in culture, education, science, and tourism. «We need to build up the well-established cooperation. We need to advance these ties. Our relations are at such a stage now,» said Haqdod.
