DUSHANBE, 26.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) –  On October 26, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in the village of Chorgulteppa of Rudaki district, put into operation a footwear manufacturing enterprise «Sarjam» LLC.

It was reported that the enterprise was built on the area of 0.32 hectares of land by the domestic businessman Mahmadyusuf Yatimov, and after the opening, 70 local residents were provided with permanent jobs.

Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon, while viewing the working conditions and production process at the enterprise, praised the quality of the manufactured products and assessed the operation of the shoe factory in Rudaki district as a good basis for the five-year development of the industry.

500 pairs of shoes are produced per day at «Sarjam» LLC.

Women’s, men’s and children’s shoes make up the list of goods produced at the enterprise, and its products are import substitutes.

26 shoe sewing machines, 1 shoe embroidering machine, 4 leather cutting machines and 39 other shoe sewing machines imported from the People’s Republic of China are installed in the enterprise.

After the opening of «Sarjam» LLC and a sincere conversation with the workers, President Emomali Rahmon viewed the exhibition of the company’s products.

20 types of women’s, men’s and children’s shoes were exhibited at the exhibition.

The Head of State instructed to pay close attention to the quality of production and to increase its volume to supply the domestic market with import substitute products.

It is worth mentioning that there are currently 21 shoe manufacturing enterprises in Tajikistan.

In 9 months of 2023, 1 thousand 190 pairs of shoes were produced, which is more than the same period last year.

The great Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, while visiting the exhibition of products of the factory, expressed his satisfaction with the support of the innovative policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the direction of rapid industrialization of the country by domestic entrepreneurs.
