Tajikistan, Netherlands discuss the Third Dushanbe Water Action Decade Conference

DUSHANBE, 01.05.2024 /NIAT «Khovar»/. On May 1, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Nico Schermers.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, during the meeting, the current level of cooperation between the two countries and the potential for future expansion were discussed.
The parties also discussed the security issues in the region, the situation in Afghanistan, as well as threats and challenges of our time such as climate change and their consequences.
In this context, the upcoming Third High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028” (June 10-13, 2024, Dushanbe) was identified as an important event.
