DUSHANBE, 05.08.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon and the President of Georgia, Honorable Salome Zourabichvili, exchanged congratulatory telegrams in connection with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and Georgia.

The congratulatory message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon to the President of Georgia, Honorable Salome Zourabichvili states the following:

«Excellency, Honorable President of Georgia,

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of an important date in the modern history of relations between our countries – the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and Georgia.

Our peoples are connected by long-standing traditions of friendship, mutual respect and trust.

Over the past three decades, our countries managed to expand and strengthen bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, including political, commercial, economic, cultural and humanitarian.

We have a positive experience of interaction in the context of multilateral cooperation structures. We constantly support each other within the framework of the UN, OSCE and other international organizations.

I believe that with the joint efforts of the parties, the interstate relations between Tajikistan and Georgia will continue to develop and acquire a new practical content in line with fundamental interests of the peoples of the two countries.
