DUSHANBE, 25.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 25, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, put into operation the Taj-Korea Limited Liability Company’s fish farm in the village of Zev, Darvoz district.
It was reported that the total area of the farm with a laboratory is more than 3 hectares, and its design capacity at the first stage is to produce 200 tons of fish meat per year.
In the subsequent stages, the number of workers, which is currently 20 people, will be increased to more than 100 people, and the volume of fish meat production will reach 1,000 tons per year.
The fish farming ponds of the newly built farm differ from other fish farming ponds in the republic in terms of their structure and breeding technology, and are a new experience in Tajikistan.
During the introduction, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the farm was established with investment from Korea and Germany and that two types of fish are grown there — Salmon and Coho.
The meat of these types of fish is in great demand in the world, and taking this into account, the founders plan to export the product abroad in addition to meeting the needs of the domestic market.
The farm’s large ponds currently contain about 100 thousand fish.
According to the plan, with the introduction of modern technology, salmon and coho fish will be processed, packaged and sold in a new form near the laboratory.
During the introduction of the laboratory conditions, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the initiative of the founders to establish such a modern facility, emphasizing that using existing opportunities, they will increase the volume of production of this type of fish and contribute to ensuring the country’s food security.
