President Emomali Rahmon Offers Condolences to President of Iran Masoud Pizishkiyon

On March 2, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pizishkiyon, which reads:
«Your Excellency,
We received with deep regret and profound sadness the news of the death of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Said Ali Hamanaei, along with a number of Iranian officials and commanders.
I express our sincere condolences to the noble and resilient people of Iran on this tremendous loss. I would also like to acknowledge the late Ayatollah Said Ali Hamanaei’s significant contribution to the development of comprehensive and constructive Tajik-Iranian relations, as well as to the strengthening of cooperation between our two nations, bearers of an ancient civilization.
In these tragic days, on behalf of the people of Tajikistan, I convey our grief and sympathy to the brotherly people of Iran. I pray to the Almighty for eternal mercy upon all the victims, and for their families and friends to find patience and solace in the face of this grave loss.»
