The international scientific and practical conference “Uzbekistan–Tajikistan: New Prospects for Alliance and Regional Cooperation” is being held at the International Institute of Central Asia in Tashkent, the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan reported.
The event is organized jointly by the International Institute of Central Asia and the Center for Strategic Studies.
Conference participants are discussing the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-Tajik cooperation and developing proposals to strengthen bilateral and multilateral ties.
Officials, representatives of parliamentary bodies, the diplomatic corps, business leaders, specialists from analytical and academic institutions, higher education institutions, creative unions, and national cultural centers from both countries are taking part.
The conference is structured into three thematic sessions: “Uzbekistan and Tajikistan: Towards a New Quality of Allied Partnership,” “Prospects for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation in the Spheres of Economy, Transport, Education, Science, Culture, and Tourism,” and “Strengthening Cooperation between the Two Countries in Multilateral Regional Formats.”
