On March 30, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, participated in and delivered a speech at a grand cultural event dedicated to the glorious holiday of Navruz in Mastchoh district. The celebration took place at the district’s central stadium, with the attendance of numerous residents and guests.
At the beginning of his speech, the Head of State once again sincerely congratulated the residents of the district and all the people of the country on the arrival of the ancestral New Year — Navruz — wishing happiness and blessings to every Tajik family, as well as progress and prosperity to our beloved Tajikistan.
It was emphasized that, for the Tajik people, Navruz is not only a celebration of the arrival of spring, but also a reflection of ancient history, an embodiment of national identity, and a symbol of the continuity of generations.
President Emomali Rahmon noted that throughout its long history, the Tajik nation has repeatedly faced critical challenges; however, each time it has overcome them thanks to its intellect, wisdom, and life-affirming traditions and values, including Navruz.
He further stated that it was precisely these enduring values that enabled the revival of this ancient national holiday during the years of independence, and that today it is celebrated in an atmosphere of sovereignty and freedom, complete peace, stability, and national unity.
It was also noted that this year’s Navruz is being celebrated at an important stage of construction and development, as the people of Tajikistan, including the residents of Sughd region and Mastchoh district prepare to welcome the 35th anniversary of the independence of our beloved Motherland.
The Head of State highlighted that, as a result of government support, the consistent implementation of economic reforms, and the dedicated efforts of the people during the years of independence, Mastchoh district has become significantly more developed and attractive, while the living standards of its population have markedly improved.
He emphasized that, in the past five years alone, 38 new industrial enterprises and workshops have been established in the district, creating hundreds of new jobs, while industrial output has increased by 2.2 times.
The Leader of the Nation described these achievements as a worthy contribution by entrepreneurs and residents of the district to the celebration of the 35th anniversary of state independence.
President Emomali Rahmon also recalled that Navruz symbolizes the bond between humanity and the land, marking the beginning of agricultural activities and the pursuit of abundance and prosperity.
In this regard, he called on citizens to make effective use of every favorable spring day to ensure the supply of food products to the domestic market and to safeguard the country’s food security.
It was further emphasized that, within the framework of development and construction plans dedicated to the 35th anniversary of independence, a total of 735 facilities in Mastchoh district were scheduled for construction and renovation, all of which have now been completed and commissioned. This achievement was described as a clear manifestation of patriotism and responsibility, as well as the result of the constructive efforts of the district’s residents.
The Leader of the Nation took the opportunity to express his sincere gratitude to the proud residents of Mastchoh district for their valuable contribution to the development and prosperity of this corner of our beloved Motherland.
