Tajik, Russian Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Ties During Moscow Meeting

On May 18, 2026, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a working visit to Russia.
Muhriddin traveled to the Russian Federation to participate in a ceremony marking the transfer of capsules containing soil from the burial sites of Heroes of Tajikistan Nusratullo Makhsum and Shirinshoh Shotemur, as well as prominent Tajik figure Nisor Muhammad.
During the talks, the two foreign ministers reviewed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on key international and regional issues.
According to Tajikistan’s Foreign Ministry, the meeting was held in a traditionally friendly and constructive atmosphere.
