In the city of Khorugh, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, also commissioned a number of major energy facilities that had been constructed in the Ishkoshim, Shughnon, Rushon, and Murghob districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Province.

In particular, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, commissioned the 110/35 kV Qozideh substation, which was constructed in Qozideh village of Ishkoshim district.

It was reported that this facility was constructed as part of the Badakhshan Electrification Project and is intended to strengthen the electricity network and increase the reliability of power supply in Ishkoshim district.

At the same location, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated a solar power plant in Shughnon district with a capacity of 3 megawatts of electricity.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the solar power plant in the village of Rozh is one of the largest renewable energy facilities in the region. A total of 4,752 solar panels have been installed at the plant to generate electricity from solar energy.

The President of the country also commissioned a 112-kilowatt solar power plant constructed in Vranjan village of Rushon district.

The solar power plant was built to improve the electricity supply for the residents of Vranjan village. The construction and commissioning of such energy facilities in mountainous areas, above all, contributes to improving living conditions for the population and developing the social and economic infrastructure of local communities.

Continuing the visit, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, commissioned a 25-kilowatt small hydropower plant in the Bartang rural community of Rushon district.

The commissioning of the small hydropower plant is an important event for the residents of Bijrav village, providing them with access to a stable supply of electricity and creating opportunities to improve living conditions and develop the village’s social infrastructure.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, commissioned a 15-kilowatt hydropower plant in Devlokh village of the Barushon rural community in Rushon district.

During the inauguration of the facility, it was noted that such energy infrastructure creates favorable conditions for improving residents’ living standards and promoting the comprehensive development of rural infrastructure.

His Excellency Emomali Rahmon remotely commissioned two pilot wind power plants with a total capacity of 200 kilowatts in Tokhtamish village of the Qizilrabot rural community in Murghob district.

The pilot wind power plants were constructed as part of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and development partners.

In addition to the wind power plants, solar panels have also been installed at the site over an area of more than one hectare. Their total capacity is 1,138 kilowatts, while the energy storage capacity of the batteries reaches 590 kilowatt-hours. This energy complex will make it possible to provide electricity throughout the year to 145 households.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, commissioned a 110 kV power transmission line in Rushon district.

The 110-kilovolt power transmission line has been constructed over a distance of 42 kilometers. The construction and commissioning of the new power transmission line is of great importance for the further development of the energy sector in Rushon district and will contribute to increasing the stability and reliability of electricity supply.
