Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Aslov receives Deputy foreign Minister Rahimpour of Iran
Dushanbe, 25.01. 2016. (NIAT «Khovar»). — Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov received here on Monday the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ibrohim Rahimpour and his accompanying delegation.
At the beginning of the conversation Aslov congratulated Iranian diplomats on lifting of economic sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran and implementation of joint comprehensive plan of action to resolve the situation around the Iranian nuclear program.
Tajik minister expressed confidence that the lifting of sanctions would give a new impulse to socio-economic development of Iran and would raise Iran’s role in international and regional issues.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the state and prospects of further expansion of political, economic and cultural cooperation.
They also pointed to the necessity of expansion of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, agriculture and industry.
The two sides also noted the need to strengthen their bilateral and multilateral cooperation in combating new challenges and threats to regional and international security.
Aslov and Rahimpour also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
