Tajikistan Invites ECO Member States to Attend the International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 04.12.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 3, in Mashhad, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and delivered a speech at the 28th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organizatio.
Muhriddin emphasized Tajikistan’s crucial role in implementing the regional transport, communication and energy projects.
The Minister also expressed Tajikistan’s readiness to strengthen diverse and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, including trade, economy, investment, industry, agriculture, environment and tourism.
Furthermore, he noted the global initiatives of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, which aims to address the issues of climate change and the global water agenda, and invited ECO Member States to actively participate in the International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation, scheduled to take place in Dushanbe in May 2025.
The Meeting resulted in the adoption of the Mashhad Declaration and several decisions pertaining to the Organization’s activities.
