Continuation of official visit of H.E. Emomali Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan to UAE
Dushanbe, 17.03.2016 (NIAT «Khovar»). — Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the sidelines of his official visit to the United Arab Emirates visited Dubai City.
President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon was welcomed by Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Discussion of multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and UAE in a narrow format first took place at the meeting of President of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon and UAE Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and then continued on the top level talks in expanded format.
The Leader of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expressed his great appreciation to the Government and the friendly UAE state for their hospitality in hosting this official visit.
«We believe that today’s meeting and talks present a good opportunity to discuss the current state and further development of relations between our countries. We hope that the results will give a new impetus to the good and mutually beneficial relations between Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates,» – said President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
The parties agreed that there are significant resources and opportunities for the development of hydropower, transport, agro-processing, light industry and mineral extraction.
The need for cooperation in the banking sector, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, joint ventures of various forms of activities, tourism and labor migration was stressed.
Among the promising areas of cooperation in investment it has been called a variety of fundamental and real sectors of the economy, construction projects of hydroelectric power stations of different capacity, small and large-scale infrastructure, transport and communication projects.
Parties during the discussion of cooperation issues also exchanged views on the influence of external factors on the economy of the countries, the rapidly changing situation in the modern world, regional security, finding ways to address a number of global problems.
