First Deputy FM meets UN OHCHR Acting Representative for Central Asia
Dushanbe, 17.03.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). – First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Nizomiddin Zohidi met here on Wednesday with the Acting Representative of the Regional Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) for Central Asia Ms. Elisabeth da Costa.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, during the meeting the parties have discussed the issues related with cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the UN human rights structures, ensuring and observance of human rights in Tajikistan, as well as preparation of the country to the second cycle of the Universal Periodic Review at the UN Human Rights Council.
The parties have noted the importance of strengthening cooperation on human rights protection in the country.
