Dushanbe, 23.03.2016 (NIAT «Khovar»). — The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon arrived today for a working visit to Sughd region.

The Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon was welcomed by residents with a special warmth and sincerity at the Khujand airport.

Working visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity –Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Sughd Region began in Bobojon Ghafurov district.

President Emomali Rahmon cut the symbolic ribbon and inaugurated LLC cement plant of «Huaxin Ghayur Sugd cement» at the rural community of Chashmasor of the Bobojon Ghafurov district.

The head of state was informed that the construction of the plant started in 2014 by the national company of «Ghayur cement».  Ghayur-Sughd Cement — with a production capacity of 1Mt/year — was built on a 48-hectare site. The plant was built by the Ghayur cement company together with a Chinese partner, Huaxin Central Asia Investment. The cost of the project is over 1 billion somoni. The plant has employed 1300 people and their average salaries are from 1500 to 12,000 somoni.

The cement plant produces cement type of 400, 500 and 600, which meet international standards and are well-known and competitive in the European market.

President Emomali Rahmon also got acquainted with the construction of the export varieties of prunes on the area of ​​100 hectares at the rural community of Chashmasor of the Bobojon Ghafurov district.

The Head of State attended the launch of the water pipes and planted seedlings with farmers and gardeners.

The President of the country Emomali Rahmon was informed that on the land that due to lack of water fell from agricultural use and for many years was used as pasture entrepreneurs have erected a garden in the area of ​​120 hectares.

Here, 100 people are provided with jobs. In addition, erection of another grade plum garden on an area of ​​600 hectares is expected, which will create additional jobs.

100 hectares of land is planted with 9 varieties of prunes, on an area of ​​20 hectares — different varieties of peach.

In the framework of his working visit to Sughd Region, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon also has attended and cut symbolic ribbon and inaugurated in a solemn ceremony the new secondary educational institution #36 at the village of Andarvasht rural community of Obburdon of the Mastchoh district.

The head of state got familiarized with the modern facilities of the classrooms of the secondary educational institution, and held an open conversation with its disciples.

The school consists of two floors with a basement, which is designed for 240 pupils in one shift. School housing has 15 classrooms, including a computer lab with electronic whiteboard, physics, chemistry and biology, equipped with cutting-edge training equipment.

President Emomali Rahmon presented the students with computers to open another computer class, and for lovers of musical art — a set of national musical instruments.

The new secondary educational institution also has a modern gym with 200 seats, a dining room, an athletic field, and classes to study culinary arts.

Secondary educational institution #36 was built by the funding from the Office of Capital Construction of the local executive body of state authority of Sughd region, and the construction work at the facility was conducted by LLC «Binokor-Iqbol» Mastchoh district. The total construction cost of the school is more than 5 million somoni.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Mastchoh district also laid the first brick in the foundation of the future of modern Mehrobod town.

The President of the country Emomali Rahmon was informed that the new town will be built on an area of ​​330 ha.

The general plan of the Mehrobod town was developed by LLC «Sugdofar». According to the plan, in Mehrobod town, which is located 18 km from the center of Mastchoh district, 220 two-storey houses and 2,500 single-storey houses are to be built.

At the entrance to the Mehrobod town, President Emomali Rahmon attended the ceremony of laying of the first brick in the foundation of three major facilities, including schools, hospitals and kindergarten.
