Tajikistan and Afghanistan discussed the preparations for the official launch ceremony of CASA-1000 project
Dushanbe, 20.04.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. On Tuesday, April 19, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Nizomiddin Zohidi met here with his Afghan counterpart Nasirahmad Andesha, who is on a working visit to Dushanbe.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, the two sides discussed the current state and prospects of the Tajik-Afghan cooperation in political, trade-economic, energy and humanitarian spheres.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the preparation for the official launch of ceremony of the construction of CASA-1000 project, the implementation of which is of great historical significance for the expansion of multifaceted cooperation and ensuring peace and stability in the region.
An exchange of views also took place on the implementation of other regional projects, to strengthen cooperation in the areas of security, border protection, and the joint fight against international terrorism and drug trafficking.
The meeting passed in a traditionally friendly and confidential atmosphere.
