Dushanbe, 04.06.2016 / NIAT «Khovar» /. The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has attended and opened an enterprise for non—ferrous metals processing — «Pokrud» Ltd., which has been constructed in the rural community Bahor of Vahdat City.

This large-scale industrial plant has been built with the support of the President of the country Emomali Rahmon by domestic entrepreneur with attraction of foreign investments for development of industry of the country. The workshop is an extension of the production line of concentrating mill Pokrud located in rural community Romit of Vahdat City.

Construction works began here in 2014. Initially, the enterprise will process 65 tons per day and 21 450 tones of flotation concentrate per year. After commissioning of the second phase the daily processing capacity will reach 130 tons, and the annual — 42 900 tones. After the complete processing of minerals in the enterprise of non-ferrous metals pure gold will be produced.

In case of full operation of the workshop the number of workers here will increase. Currently, two workshops of «Pokrud» LLC as a whole employ more than 900 people, of which 600 are local specialists, and the rest are citizens of China. The average salary of workers is 3,200 somoni.

President of the country Emomali Rahmon during familiarization with the technology for the processing and production of gold has given local entrepreneurs useful tips and recommendations on the efficient use of natural resources of the country.

President of the country reported that in 2003 «Pokrud» Ltd. was created for the purpose of promotion of production works. For ten years, 49 million US dollars have been spent from 2003 to 2013 for the geological and exploration works, conducting of a feasibility study and designing of landfill for industrial waste of Pokrud.

After the opening of the new enterprise and getting familiarized with its production capacity, the President of the country held an open conversation with many workers and activists of the city of Vahdat.
