Dushanbe, 25.08.2016 / NIAT «Khovar» /. On the second day of his working visit to Khatlon Province, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon has inaugurated today in Bokhtar district a new building of Electromechanical Faculty of Energy Institute of Tajikistan after its capital reconstruction.

It should be noted that the Energy Institute of Tajikistan has started functioning on direct instructions of the Head of State Emomali Rahmon after its capital reconstruction.

Energy Institute of Tajikistan was established by the decision of the government of the country on May 3, 2006, as part of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan, but did not have good educational base at its disposal.

Institute’s building is located in an area of 17 hectares. The University has two faculties, 11 buildings, in particular, 4 educational buildings, one administrative building, and 4 dormitories, 5 computer labs, 120 computers, 13 electronic boards, library, medical center, 2 dining rooms for more than 300 seats, a stadium, two innovation centers, technology parks, sports grounds for military and tactical exercises, basement for emergencies, shooting, etc.

1,700 students study at the Energy Institute of Tajikistan, in particular, 1,140 of them — full-time and 570 — part-time, and 101 students — under quotas, and 34 students are orphans.

120 teachers work in the institute, in particular — 12 candidates of sciences and 16 applicants.

It should be noted that the Energy Institute of Tajikistan has been established in cooperation with more than 30 foreign institutions, including, St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University, Ivanovo State Power University, Petrozavodsk State University, Ryazan State Agrotechnological University named after P.A. Kostychev, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, South Ural State University, Tomsk State Pedagogical University, North-Caucasus Federal University, and Ural Federal University named after B.N.Yeltsin.

Construction work started at the beginning of this year by «Balkh-2015» LLC, and to date 50 construction workers conducted a qualitative upgrade of the facility. More than 12 million somoni was spent for reconstruction of the facility.

President Emomali Rahmon got familiar with classrooms, computer learning centre, and lab. classes, and held a useful meeting with the staff  of teachers and students.

It was informed that 1.5 mln. somoni was spent for the repair and construction work on electromechanical faculty . The facility consists of a two-storey administrative and academic building, a sports hall, an assembly hall with a basement, and 9 operating rooms and 8 classrooms.

During familiarization, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon praised the quality of construction work and equipping of the cabinets, and instructed the responsible persons to give special attention to the quality of learning and education, in particular, to the students of the faculty of electromechanical institute, because energy is considered to be vital and promising area of ​​the Republic of Tajikistan. Reconstruction of the other buildings is also carried out on a qualitative level.
