Tajik Finance Minister and Chief of IMF Mission discuss bilateral cooperation
Dushanbe, 22.08.2016 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdusalom Qurboniyon has met with International Monetary Fund mission led by Chief of mission Paul Ross on August 22 here in Dushanbe.
According to Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, the meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere, during which the parties have paid special attention to issues of financial, tax and banking policies, the implementation of budget in 2016, on the basis of economic forecasts–priority expenditures, estimated revenues, the planned deficit and sources of its funding, as well as the budget forecast for 2017 and medium term.
The parties have also paid special attention to issues concerning social security costs, as well as the status and projections for external debt servicing, monitoring of state enterprises and the relationship of the Republic of Tajikistan with other international financial and banking institutions.
The meeting was attended by Permanent Representative of the International Monetary Fund in Tajikistan Yuri Sobolev and Advisor to the Executive Director of IMF Ilhom Rajabov.
