Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan
Dushanbe, 04.10.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On September 27, Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan hosted an Official Reception on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The event was attended by Mr. Motome Takisawa, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan as a Chief Guest on behalf of the Government of Japan.
The Guests of Honor of the event were Minister for Reconstruction Mr. Masahiro IMAMURA, Member of House of Representatives of National Diet of Japan and Member of Tajikistan — Japan Parliamentary Friendship League Mr. Hitoshi Kiuchi and Member of the House of Councilors of the National Diet of Japan Ms. Kyoko Nakayama.
The Official Reception also attended by members of Parliament and government representatives, heads of the departments and divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Vice President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)Ms. Kae Yanagisawa and heads of departments of JICA, President of Japan International Cooperation Center Ms. Sachiko Yamano, Rector of the United Nations University — Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Dr. David M. Malone, Former Ambassadors of Japan in Tajikistan, Chairman and CEO of Japan External Trade Organization Mr. Hiroyuki Ishige, President of Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation Mr. Keisuke Kuroki, representatives of other ministries and agencies, the diplomatic corps, business and academic circles, Tajikistan — Japan Friendship Associations, representatives of the mass media, as well as fellow Tajik citizens — professors of Japanese Universities and students studying at present in Japan.
In a solemn speech the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan in Japan Hamrokhon Zarifi stressed the notable achievements of the country over the years of independence, and referred to the Independence Day as the main holiday of statehood and its special significance for the people of Tajikistan, mentioned the priorities of foreign policy of the Republic of Tajikistan and underlined the importance of existing mechanisms for further cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan.
Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr. Motome Takisawa on behalf of the Government of Japan expressed warmest and most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the Anniversary of State Independence of Tajikistan, noted the achievements in bilateral and multilateral relations, and called for expansion of relations in the relevant areas of the bilateral cooperation.
Congratulatory message on behalf of the Tajikistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group made by Member of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament and the Member of Tajikistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship League, Mr. Hitoshi Kiuchi, who in his speech noted the intensification of bilateral political dialogue and expressed mutual interest in strengthening future cooperation.
The reception was followed by cultural programs: the works of famous and world-renowned Tajik composer – Talabkhuja Sattorov performed by Japanese musicians, as well as the national dance performances by Japanese artists.
The official reception was held in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, received positive feedback from all participants.
