A regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held today at the Palace of the Nation under the chairmanship of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, Head of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.

Personnel issues were considered at first and thereby a new composition of the boards of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Savings Bank “Amonatbank” were approved.

Then, the report of the Director of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rustami Emomali was heard concerning draft laws, in particular, «On making amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan» “About the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan»,»On making amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On the anti-corruption expertise of legal acts and draft laws and regulations», «On making amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan» «On state service», «On making amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On combating corruption», «On making amendments and additions to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan», as well as «On making amendments and additions to the Code of the Republic of Tajikistan on Administrative Offenses».

All those draft laws were approved and sent for consideration to the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli (Parliament) of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Besides, the meeting heard the report of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nematullo Hikmatullozoda on draft resolution of the Government of Tajikistan «On the organization of work on the definition of the forecast of the main macroeconomic indicators of development of the country for 2018 and the main parameters for 2019-2020» and a draft program of the medium-term development of the Republic of Tajikistan designed for 2016-2020.

It was stressed that the medium-term development program provided for reducing the poverty rate in the country from 31 percent in 2015 to 20 percent in 2020, and raising an average living standard in the country from 22 percent in 2015 to 30 percent in 2020.

All these indicators have been developed taking into account the impact of external factors, and joint efforts of all government bodies would be required for their implementation.

The draft program of the medium-term development of the of the Republic of Tajikistan designed for 2016-2020 after a thorough discussion was sent for consideration of the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the country.

In addition, six conclusions of the Government of Tajikistan were also presented for consideration of the Parliament, in particular, the laws «On normative legal acts» and «On seismic safety».

The meeting also heard the reports of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of Tajikistan, Khairullo Ibodzoda — «On the implementation of the state environmental program designed for 2009-2019», Education Minister, Nuriddin Said — «On the state program of development of education sector institutions in Khatlon Province», the Chairman of the State institution «Higher Attestation Commission», Abduhakim Rozikzoda — on approval of the model Regulation of the Dissertation Council, on the order of conferment of academic degrees and academic titles (associate professor, professor) and on the Order of the state registration of the defended scientific theses.

On the general plans of Navkat township of Spitamen district and Mehrobod township of Jabbor Rasulov district of Sughd Province were heard the reports of chairmen of these districts.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon gave concrete instructions to the members of the Government and responsible persons regarding mandatory and timely decisions on issues considered at the Government meeting and taking the necessary measures in the sectors of the national economy in winter period.
