On February 16, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yermek Kosherbayev, who is in Dushanbe on an official visit.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of State welcomed the visit of the Kazakh Foreign Minister and reaffirmed Tajikistan’s commitment to strengthening and expanding strategic partnership and allied relations with Kazakhstan in a spirit of mutual understanding, respect, and trust.
For his part, Minister Kosherbayev expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted the Leader of the Nation’s significant contribution to the steady and progressive development of Tajik–Kazakh relations across all sectors.
During the talks, the sides reviewed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas. Expressing satisfaction with the dynamic trajectory of interaction, the President underscored the importance of maintaining regular political dialogue to further advance ties in trade and economic cooperation, investment, cultural and humanitarian exchange, security, and other fields of mutual interest. In this context, the schedule of forthcoming high-level meetings and contacts was also discussed.
The parties additionally exchanged views on multilateral cooperation within international and regional frameworks.
