The President of the Republic of Tajikistan signed a number of laws passed by Majlisi namoyandagon and seconded by Majlisi Milli.

In particular, constitutional laws of the Republic of Tajikistan «On the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation», «On social security, maintenance and protection of the President of Tajikistan», as well as the Law on amendments and additions to the Family Code, the Penal Code and Code of Administrative Offences.

According to amendments and additions introduced to the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan on 22 May 2016, the legal status, powers, and other activities of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation are determined by constitutional law.

In order to implement these amendments and additions, the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation» was adopted in the new edition on the proposal of deputies of the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, and on November 8, 2016, it was unanimously seconded by the members of Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «About the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation» was developed and adopted taking into account the will of the glorious people of Tajikistan, with the aim of strengthening the foundations of the constitutional system of the Republic of Tajikistan, the state independence, territorial integrity and unity of the country, the stability and durability of Tajikistan government, strengthening democracy, economic, social and cultural progress, protection of historical values ​​of national statehood, the creation of decent living conditions and free development of each person.

The Act consists of a preamble and 19 articles, defines the political and legal status, powers, integrity, provides for the establishment of the museum, archive, library, security, social and economic guarantees for the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation.

The adoption of this law is a reflection of reality, a sign of respect and recognition of the distinguished service of the Head of State.

Constitutional Law «On Social Security, Maintenance and Protection of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan» was adopted in order to create favorable conditions for the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for the effective exercise of his constitutional powers. The law regulates the relations connected with the social guarantees, ensuring maintenance and security of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
